Over the winter, I completed my revised “Fashion Law” chapter for Siegel on Entertainment Law, Fifth Edition, published by the New York State Bar Association. The updated chapter has additional sections on influencer contracts and artificial intelligence. Publication is slated for late 2025. Until then, the Fourth Edition is available here.
In early January, I had an opportunity to speak to the New York City Bar Association, Entertainment Law Committee. My talk introduced the Dramatists Legal Defense Fund, and I happily fielded questions about license agreements for large projects, such as Broadway shows. Since COVID, I’ve had few interactions with my colleagues-at-bar in these group settings, and it was wonderful to see them — special thanks to Terry Dugan of O’Melveny, who invited me.
