This past April, I spoke at the USPTO as part of a panel called, “Evolving Design IP vs. Fashion Trends: Stitching It All Together.”
Moderated by Charles Mauro of MauroNew Media, other panelists included Julie Zerbo and a co-author of my book, The ABA’s Legal Guide to Fashion Design. With a full house of about 500 general counsel and designers, it was an honor to speak about the recent Supreme Court decision related to cheerleader uniforms and bolstering protection of your intellectual property that seems to fall between design patent, trademark, and copyright.
Podcast for Clark Hulings Fund
In July, the Clark Hulings Fund (CHF) will host and interview me on its excellent podcast, The Thriving Artist. The CHF’s mission is to aid professional visual artists with business support, training, and more. I will be interviewed about copyright and licensing (e.g., gallery contracts). Stay tuned for a link to that podcast!
